The Traveler’s Emergency Stain Guide: 3 Common Spills

by:admin 19 Mayıs 2024 0 Comments

A great trip often involves great food and drink… and sometimes, spills. You’ve spilled Turkish coffee or red wine on your favorite shirt in your hotel room. What do you do?

  1. Red Wine: Act fast. Gently blot (don’t rub!) the stain with a clean, damp cloth. Club soda or salt can help lift the stain temporarily.
  2. Coffee/Tea: Blot the excess. Rinse the stain from the back with cold water to push it out of the fabric, not deeper in.
  3. Oil/Grease (from Kebab): Do NOT use water. Apply talcum powder (or even cornstarch) to absorb the grease, let it sit, then gently brush it off.

For any serious stain, don’t use the hotel iron or hairdryer, as heat will set it permanently. Bring it to a professional dry cleaner as soon as possible. We specialize in saving your favorite travel outfits!
